Your privacy and the security of your financial data are the foundation of the Flow Anti-Budget method. We designed Flow to give you financial freedom without compromising your trust. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it secure.

1. Data We Collect and Why We Collect It

We collect information only to provide and improve the Flow service, specifically to enable the Anti-Budget automation features.

A. Financial Data (Read-Only)

• Data Type: Transaction history, account balances, account names (e.g., checking, savings, credit).

• Purpose: To enable the Flow Fund, Goal Tracking, and Subscription Sleuth features. This data allows us to automatically calculate your remaining guilt-free spending money.

B. Authentication Data

• Data Type: Financial institution login credentials.

• Purpose: We DO NOT store these credentials. We use secure third-party partners (like Plaid) to establish a tokenized, read-only link to your bank.

C. User Identity Data

• Data Type: Name, email address, password (hashed and encrypted).

• Purpose: To set up and secure your Flow account, communicate important service updates, and manage your subscription.

D. Usage Data

• Data Type: How you interact with the app (e.g., goals created, features accessed).

• Purpose: To monitor app performance, identify features to improve, and ensure a seamless user experience.

2. Our Read-Only Connection & Data Security

The Read-Only Guarantee

Flow only establishes a read-only connection to your bank accounts. This is achieved via a secure, encrypted token provided by our trusted third-party data partner.

This means:

• We cannot see or store your bank login credentials.

• We cannot initiate transfers, move money, or make payments from your account.

• We only receive data necessary for calculating your Flow Fund and tracking your progress.

Security Measures

• Encryption: All data, both in transit and at rest, is secured using industry-standard 256-bit AES encryption.

• Tokenization: We access your financial data via anonymous tokens provided by the data partner, ensuring your personal banking information is never directly exposed.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data strictly for the following purposes:

1. Service Provision: To calculate your Flow Fund, automate goal funding, and operate the Debt Accelerator and Subscription Sleuth features.

2. Communication: To send you essential updates about your account, new features, and our Flow Resource Center newsletter (if opted-in).

3. Improvement: To analyze usage patterns to fix bugs and develop new tools that make the Anti-Budget method easier.

4. Data Sharing and Sale

We do not, and will never, sell your personal or financial data to any third party.

We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service Providers: We share necessary data (e.g., encrypted transaction data) with our trusted financial data providers and cloud hosting services to operate the app. These partners are legally bound to protect your data.

• Legal Compliance: If required by law, subpoena, or governmental request.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

• Correct: Ask us to correct any inaccurate personal data.

• Delete: Request that we delete your personal data. Deleting your account will result in the deletion of all associated financial data tokens.
